merlin_multis's episode drawble-fest.
-----------------
“You don’t have magic, Merlin, how could you hope to understand?”
She sounds almost hysterical to him and he wonders how he could help her see the good she can do with the magic in her.
“I do understand, believe me,” he replies softly.
She takes a step forward and looks anything but believing. Impulsively, he allows the magic to take over his body and before he knows it, he is levitating a piece of rock in between them.
He knows he shouldn’t have, but it is the only way she’ll at least listen to what he has to say and try to see things another way. It’s his last bet and it’s Camelot’s only hope.
She stares at the piece of rock, floating in between them, her face blank as she tries to process the new information. He tries to gauge her reaction, but she refuses to meet his eyes. He knows his secret isn’t safe with her, not when she is so close to Morgause, not when she hates Uther so much. He will probably lose his head tomorrow but at least it'll mean that Camelot will not fall today.
“You see, Morgana, I do understand,” he repeats firmly.
Her eyes snap up to lock onto his but he cannot see repentance in them and he cannot see regret in them, he sees only anger and he sees only vengeance.
“And what are you going to do, Merlin?" she smirks, "Kill me?”
