Movie Flail: Captain America

Everything about it, I loved it. From the casting to the plot to the actual acting to the bromance/romance. EVERYTHING. I'm not even a Marvel fan and I know next to nothing about the Captain America comics. I thought the idea was cheesy (all superhero movies are, to a certain extent and really, the Captain America uniform was the worst XD) but HELLO IT TURNED OUT AWESOME. I means, just OMGWHAT.
Let's make a list of the things I loved:
- CHRIS EVANS. HOT DAMN. Perfect casting choice. He was really good as Steve.
- Johann Schmidt as Red Skull scared the shits out of me. Like, really, I was freaked 80% of the time because he looked freaky. At a second thought, he looks sort of like Voldemort. Only redder. Huh.
- Tommy Lee Jones as Colonel Phillips! I have a soft spot for this man. XD
- HOWARD STARK. 'Nuff said.
- STEVE/BUCKY BROMANCE. ♥ JUST D'AWWWW. And when Steve saved Bucky. And when Bucky died and Steve's face just crumpled. ALL THE ANGST. I wanted them to have more time to make goo-goo eyes at each other!
- Steve/Peggy was adorable too. XD I loved how she got all jealous and tried to shoot him.
- SHIELDS ARE SEXY. I never knew that.
- All the fight scenes in which Captain America was being badass. AND WHEN HE JUMPED ACROSS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING WHERE BUCKY WAS WAITING?! *melts*
- The movie had a surprisingly good flow to it. It didn't move too fast and end up making not much sense at all, like most superhero movies do (*cough*GREEN LANTERN*cough*) and the lines were brilliant. It had a great transit from normal non-awesome dude to superhero. I liked that.
- THE ENDING. It was brilliant. The parting line. OMGWHAT. It was awesomeness. All sorts of awesomeness. I felt giddy with excitement.
- Don't do anything stupid until I come back. // How can I? You've taken all the stupid with you.
- Don't win the war until I get there.
- If you cut off one head, two will- // Let's go find two more.
- What is this? // It's a steak. // What's in it? // Cow.
- What do you think? // *shoots likes a BAMF* I think it works.
- Are you sure you know what you're doing? // Yeah, I punched out Adolf Hitlet about 200 times.
- Peggy, I'm going to have to take a rain check on that dance. (WHAT. ;_; Tearing up for life.)
- You've been asleep for almost 70 years. ...you alright? // Yeah, it's just... I had a date.

I'm a ball of giggly emotion, people. I can't even.
(Okay. Now where can I get icons/fics and etcetera? LEAD ME TO THE AWESOME.)

Tommy Lee Jones was totally awesome, and his character's brand of cynicism brought a perfect balance to the apple pie goodness of the movie. :P
